Orientation Costs


Orientation is an experience designed to prepare you for success in your first semester as a UCF Knight. Orientation is required of all UCF students and will include the following topics and themes:

  • UCF’s academic expectations.
  • UCF’s social expectations and community standards.
  • UCF’s opportunities for engagement in academic and co-curricular activities.
  • Your responsibility for decisions and actions academically, socially, and personally as a Knight.

After thoughtful consideration, all 2020 Summer/Fall Transfer and FTIC Orientations will occur virtually. The program will NOT include an in-person component.

IMPORTANT: Although Orientation will be completed remotely, you are expected to still be available for the entirety of your Orientation date/program.

All content will be provided online, through virtual interactions and required modules hosted through UCF’s learning management system, WebCourses@UCF. This includes the advising components and course registration.

Student Orientation Cost

The Orientation fee for all students is $35. FTIC students are required to pay an additional $10 for the Math Placement Test (Total $45 for new FTIC students). The Orientation fee and Math Placement test cost are held to our refund policy and are non-refundable.

Family and Guest Orientation Program

With the transition to online Orientation, First Year Experience is excited to provide an update on a virtual Family and Guest Orientation program.

For 2020, the virtual program, the Pegasus Parent Program Webinar Series and Resources will allow you to learn about all that UCF has to offer and to ask questions of other families, current students, university staff, and administrators. It will include:

  • Access to a unique web-portal with campus resource content geared towards family members
  • Weekly webinars offered multiple times a week
  • Monthly Q&A sessions with UCF Staff, Faculty, and Orientation Leaders (O-Team)
  • A 2020 Family Handbook and a 2020 Family Calendar – mailed directly to you!
