Refund Policy

Update – April 10, 2020:

For 2020 Summer/Fall incoming students, First Year Experience will refund the difference in the Orientation costs between the Pegasus and Knightro Experiences since the program is now completely online. If it applies to your registration, the charge for on-campus overnight accommodations will also be refunded.

The Orientation fee for all students is $35. FTIC students are required to pay an additional $10 for the Math Placement Test (Total $45 for new FTIC students). The Orientation fee and Math Placement test cost will continue to be held to our refund policy (see below) and are non-refundable.

Students with one guest registered will be refunded $20, the difference between the cost of the online package and the in-person guest experience. All other guests will be fully refunded.

First Year Experience is committed to issuing refunds as quickly as possible. You do not need to contact us for a refund; they will be processed automatically. When a refund is issued, we will send a confirmation email to the student’s email address outlining what charges have been refunded. Please allow 3-7 business days for the charge to return to the account of your original payment method. The student will have 30 days from the date of their refund confirmation email to dispute any issues with the refund that was received.

Orientation Refund Policy:

Orientation is mandatory for all incoming FTIC and transfer students and the charge to attend is strictly non-refundable. If you are no longer able to attend UCF for your offered semester, you may contact fye@ucf.edu to request that your fee be applied to a future semester.

If you attended Orientation previously (within the past five years), but did not enroll in classes, contact our office by emailing fye@ucf.edu to confirm you have met the Orientation requirement. You may not be required to attend Orientation again.

If you are returning to UCF and it has been longer than five years since you completed Orientation, you will be required to attend Orientation and pay the Orientation charge.

Refunds for the guest charges and FTIC overnight housing are considered on a case-by-case basis for extreme circumstances, and must be submitted PRIOR to the event date.

All requests for a refund for any charge incurred by First Year Experience must be made in writing to fye@ucf.edu PRIOR to the event date. Absolutely no refunds will be processed after your registered event has occurred.
