Orientation is an experience designed to prepare you for success in your first semester as a UCF Knight. Orientation is required of all UCF students at a fee of $35. Orientation includes the following topics and themes:
Note: UCF requires all incoming freshmen, or FTIC, students to complete the Math Placement Test prior to attending Orientation, at a cost of $10. This cost is added to your Orientation reservation and due at the time of payment.
UCF offers two methods to complete the Orientation requirement: the Pegasus Orientation experience and the Knightro Orientation experience. Students who choose the enhanced Pegasus Orientation experience will engage with these resources in an immersive, engaging, and personal environment. Students who choose the Knightro Orientation experience will engage with the above information and resources in an online environment.
More information about FTIC Orientation can be found here: https://orientation.ucf.edu/ftic/.
More information about Transfer Orientation can be found here: https://orientation.ucf.edu/transfer/.
All students are required to pay for Orientation at time of reservation. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. All costs associated with Orientation are non-refundable.
The entire cost to attend Orientation must either be paid online by credit card or by mail with check or money order prior to finalizing your Orientation registration and securing your seat in a specific session. Your seat is not held in the session you select until you have paid for your Orientation. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis according to when payment is received. Please make all checks payable to “University of Central Florida” and be sure to list your UCFID number in the memo line. Registration requests will only be processed once payment is received.
We offer a family and guest program for students participating in the Pegasus Orientation experience. Family and other adult guests who are interested in attending Orientation with their students are strongly encouraged to do so. The Family and Guest Orientation program is held concurrently with the Pegasus student program; however, the family and guest program is separate from the student program. The following costs are associated with family and guests attendance at Pegasus experience Orientations.
If your student is participating in the Knightro Orientation experience, and you would like more information on UCF, please sign up for the Pegasus Parent Post monthly newsletter at https://fye.sdes.ucf.edu/parents/newsletter/.
Summer/Fall 2020 admits will be able to register for Orientation in mid-February 2020.
