Prepare for Advisement

During Orientation, you will register for your classes after you are advised by your advisor (in a group setting). Students typically enroll in 15-16 hours per semester in the fall and spring terms; 6-9 hours in the summer term. The following links will help you prepare for advisement:

Being knowledgeable about these subjects will help your advisement and registration run smoothly and give you an advantage when registering. If you need to change your major, log into myUCF and follow these instructions.

Freshmen

First Year Advising & Exploration adds all FTIC students to the First Year Advising modules found online on Webcourses@UCF. These are to be completed prior to attending Orientation, and will assist you in selecting and registering for classes at your Orientation session.

You should receive an email from your academic advisor regarding how to access these modules; if not, visit http://webcourses.ucf.edu, log in using your NID and NID password, and click on the First Year Advising box. Watch the first video to begin.

The modules should only take about 25 minutes to complete, and they are essential to your academic success at UCF.
