Transfer Students – Orlando (Main) Campus


Orientation is a one-day event for all incoming Transfer students attending classes at the Orlando/Main Campus. Please read through all of the information before signing up for Orientation. Click here to view sample Orientation schedules.

Dates

Orientation session dates are available to students based on the semester in which they are enrolling. Orientation dates are tentative and subject to change. Registration for summer/fall entry opens in February; registration for spring entry opens in mid-October.

Costs

All Orientation registrations require a payment that includes the Orientation fee ($35) as well as the costs to host the session ($35) including facilities, printed materials, and meal. Your seat is not held in the session you select until you have paid your Orientation fees. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis according to when payment is received. All fees associated with Orientation are non-refundable.

The entire cost to attend Orientation must either be paid online by credit card or by mail with check or money order prior to finalizing your orientation registration and securing your seat in a specific session. Your seat is not held in the session you select until you have paid your orientation fees. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis according to when payment is received. Please make all checks payable to “UCF First Year Experience” and be sure to list your UCFID number in the memo line. Registration requests will only be processed once payment is received.

Student Charge: $70.00 ($35 fee plus $35 program cost)
Includes: Orientation Fee ($35), Orientation schedule & student handbook, lunch, facilities, and trained staff to assist with your transition.

Family/Guest Charge: $37.00 first guest, $34.00 each additional guest
Includes: Orientation schedule & family handbook, lunch, and trained staff to answer questions.

Family Program

Parents (and other adult family members) who are interested in attending Orientation with their students are strongly encouraged to do so. The Family Orientation program is held concurrently with the student program; however, the family program is separate from the student program.

If your family would like to attend, there is also a cost associated with each adult attending. This cost includes the price of meals. See the “Costs” section above for additional information.

Virtual Orientation

Prior to attending the on-campus session, transfer students are required to complete a virtual orientation component. Directions on accessing this online course will be included in the confirmation packet. This component must be completed before attending the on-campus orientation session.
