Welcome to UCF
Why Orientation?
Besides being mandatory for all undergraduate students, Orientation is your introduction to all things Black and Gold and a sneak peek at all the opportunities ahead. It’s also where you’ll register for your first semester at UCF. Learn more about what a typical Orientation session looks like and the pre-orientation requirements for all students by clicking your student type below.

Summer admits must attend Orientation prior to the start of Spring classes. Fall admits must attend Orientation prior to the start of Fall classes.

As such, the availability of Orientation dates before the Summer semester will be limited to Summer admits only and Fall admits who are admitted to select programs; these programs are included on the list of dates. In addition, admission into a specific programs does not guarantee a Summer Orientation date for Fall admitted students.
Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis including the separate but simultaneous Family & Guest Orientation program on each date.
When making an Orientation reservation, students will only be able to choose from dates available to their student type.
For FTIC students only: Optional Overnight Accommodations may be available in the UCF Residence Halls for an additional cost. Dates and spaces for this may be limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
